Jul 10, 2015. #1. I have installed the pertronix Electronic ignition and cannot get my 8N to start. Its a 12 volt conversion. I have power to the coil but no spark at the plug. I have replaced distributor cap, coil, alternator (last year), starter switch (last year), cracked ballast resistor few years ago.
